Brass Flanges

Brass is the term ussed for a mixture or alloy of copper and zinc. These two metals can be mixed together in varied proportions to get a variety of brasses like soft brass or hard brass. Brass gives the bathroom it is fitted in a rich outlook. A plate or a ring fitted on the rim of a pipe at the entrance or exit is called as a flange.

When a flange is used to cover or seal the exit of a pipe, it is termed as a blind flange. A flange joint usually joins two pipes bolted together. Brass flanges are an extremely functional plumbing fitting that is used in the bathroom.

They are also attractive and do not look dull like cast iron flanges. They are used in almost all the piping systems in a bathroom. They water closet is attached to the drainage pipe through a flange.

The flange is generally at the end of the pipe just ahead of the water closet. Brass flanges are available in different sizes according to the user's requirements. They are very compatible for general plumbing work.
